- About Us
This week in nursery we had a visit from a PCSO, who came to tell us all about his job role. He talked about what uniform he wears, the equipment he uses and how he helps people. He even brought along a police van and the children were lucky enough to sit in the cage and in the driver's seat. He showed us how all of the buttons worked and let us hear the siren and see the flashing lights. Mollie said “when I'm a big girl I'll be a police girl”
We also had two furry visitors called Jet and Ben. We talked about the importance of staying safe and sang a song to teach us to always “Say No, No, No to strangers” The children were given the opportunity to dress up in some police uniform and even had a chance to pet Jet and Ben. All of the children were very brave and were very gentle with the dogs.
Our little rays of sunshine this week are Karl Coulson for starting to settle better in nursery. It is lovely to see you becoming more confident and joining in with more activities. Dylan Fairgreave for showing great enthusiasm and asking sensible questions when the police visited us this week. Rosaleigh Patton for trying so hard to write her names this week and always being so cheerful around nursery. Lexi-Mae for settling in to nursery lovely. She always comes in with a big smile and has been very kind to her friends when playing outside. Lexi-Mae came and found a teacher when her friend needed some help. What a kind thing to do! And finally Mia Potts for working so hard during squiggle while you wiggle. It was lovely to see you enjoying yourself and having fun with other children. Amazing work everybody!
