Happy Easter

Published on Friday 7 April 2017 by Miss Dickinson.

This week in Nursery we have been celebrating Easter. In group time we talked about how we all celebrate Easter and what happens in different people's houses. Emily said “We go rolling some eggs down the hill at Easter with my family” and Jessica said “the Easter bunny hides chocolate eggs in my garden”. We organised an Easter egg hunt for the children in our nursery garden. We hid lots of eggs and the children had to go and find them and see how many they could collect. They were very excited! We also had a little egg rolling competition down the hill to see whose egg would go the furthest.

This week we also had an Easter egg competition in Nursery for both morning and afternoon sessions. Mr Hall judged the morning session and Mrs Elliott the afternoon session. Both members of staff said how difficult it was to choose the winners as everyone who took part had tried very hard but there had to be some winners so morning sessions winners were Matthew Van Stekelenburg, Harriett Parvin and Joe Hird and the afternoon session winners were Joey Crossley, Mia Potts and Kobe Egglestone. Well done to these winners but thank you everyone for taking part.

Our little rays of sunshine this week are Matthew Harris for being amazing in PE and being so kind and caring to other children in nursery. Paul Mason for his excellent sound recognition this week during intervention time. JiaJia Yang for always trying her best during communication group time so now she can follow more complex instructions. Kobe Egglestone because he was very proud of himself when he was one of our winners for the Easter egg competition and finally Bobby Dobson for trying very hard with his cutting and drawing skills.

Happy Easter

Finally I would like to say thank you again for your continued support and hard work this term in nursery. We hope you all have a very relaxing and well deserved Easter break! See you in 2 weeks!!
