Our Science topic this half term is Brilliant Bubbles, focusing on improving our investigation skills to ask questions, explore variables and record our results in a variety of ways. We are interested in bubble mixture and how it can be affected when you change different variables, such as the amount of water, the concentration of the washing up liquid, the type of washing up liquid, or even the shape of the bubble wand!

So far we have investigated the effects of the concentration of the washing up liquid and the type of washing up liquid that we use. We know how important it is that we only change one variable and keep everything else the same to achieve a fair test.

We have began to think about how to record our results accurately. One way we achieved this was with stop watches to time how long the bubble lasted. Next, we will think about how to accurately record our results in a way that we can draw conclusions, such as tables, graphs and charts.
