- About Us
We have continued to learn lots more about mini-beasts this week and have enjoyed finding out some interesting facts by looking in books. The children have also been using mini-beasts in their number work. We have counted the pom poms on the ladybirds and done some subtracting with caterpillars.
Some of us had an urgent letter from Will the worm because his home had been destroyed. Therefore we decided to make him a worm hotel. We talked about how to look after our worms and then went on a worm hunt in the garden. We are excited to watch the worms as they make tunnels and dig in the soil!
Our little rays of sunshine this week are Ashton Allerton for doing an amazing job with his numbers. When asked he was able to give me the correct number of wiggly worms in the jar. Fantastic work Ashton! Eden Conroy for doing some amazing counting. She quickly recognised the number of spots on the dice and added the corresponding number of pom poms onto the ladybird. Well done Eden! Jack Todd for his amazing mini beast knowledge. He told us all about spider webs and how “they catch flies and eat them up” Great job Jack! Kobe Egglestone for thoroughly enjoying our new topic; mini beasts. He has loved looking for bugs and looking in books to learn lots of interesting facts. What a great week Kobe! And finally Sammy Cummins for being such a kind friend. He was a fantastic buddy to Rowan and encouraged him to play with him in all the areas. Thank you for being so kind Sammy!
