This term Year 4 have been learning all about the ones, tens, hundreds and thousands in a place value chart. We have been using counters to represent what four digit numbers look like.
In pairs, we created two four digit numbers and compared their size. We realised that in order to decide which was the biggest, we need to look at the thousands first.
We have made a lot of progress with explaining our answers and proving that we are right. We can now apply this knowledge to problem solving and reasoning questions.
