We have once again begun an art project with the support of King James Academy. Two inspirational art students visit our school each Friday afternoon to lead a project which has an African theme.
We began by discussing the earliest form of African art; cave art. We used the tea-bag staining technique on to paper; drying it with a hairdryer!
Once dry we used earth-coloured pastels to create African images.
We then got to do the fun part- we scrumpled-up our drawings to create a cave wall effect!
