Dinosaur Eggs!

Published on Thursday 7 March 2019 by Mrs Fox.

This week we noticed some huge footprints in the nursery so we checked the cameras. We were so shocked to see a T-Rex had visited us and left us some dinosaur eggs to take care of. Everybody has shown great care and concern for the eggs and we are very excited for them to hatch!

To celebrate our love of books we came to nursery dressed as our favourite story book characters. We had a cat walk to show of our brilliant costumes and we thought that everybody looked fantastic. Congratulations to Scarlett Charles, Leo Lowes, Joseph Barron, Jordan Comby, Arthur Hendry and Levi-Lucas McManus for winning prizes for their wonderful costumes.

Our little rays of sunshine this week are Ivy Hendry for remembering all of the phonic sounds which we have learnt so far. Ivy was able to orally blend some sounds together to read some CVC words. She blew my socks when she independently wrote the word pat. Amazing work Ivy, keep it up! Ana-Lucia Norman for her fantastic number work. She was able to independently count the spots on the dice and gave me the correct number of dinosaurs. I am very proud of you Ana! Carter French for blowing my socks off with our name recognition game. He is now able to recognise his name without his photo to help him. Great work Carter! And finally Gabriella Slack for doing some fantastic writing. She chose to find her name card and then wrote her name independently. I was very impressed with your letter formation Gabi!
