Royal Shakespeare performance

Published on Tuesday 16 June 2015 by Mrs Gentles.

Fantastic news! Actors from the Royal Shakespeare Company are coming to our school on Friday 3rd July at 6pm to perform 'The Famous Victories of Henry V.'

The play is especially adapted for children with lots of action, comedy and opportunities to join in the fun with the actors.  It is a lively and interactive production so come along and fight the French army! It's lasts for 90 action filled minutes.

It tells the story of a young man, Prince Henry of England, who wastes his time having fun, fighting and making mischief with his friends, until suddenly, his father dies and he has to grow up, be crowned King Henry V, and lead the English army to battle in France.

Our school has been chosen from hundreds of others to host this very special performance, which is also coming to the Theatre Royal, Newcastle.

This is a special performance for families so that parents and children can enjoy watching the play together. It is not suitable for children under the age of 8 years.

Tickets are on sale now to all Key Stage 2 children and their families and friends. Make a night of it and bring the whole family!

Tickets cost £5 each. Please bring money to Mrs Gentles at school. They will be sold on a first come, first served basis. They are excellent value at £5 each.

The last performance the RSC gave us was fantastic and we feel really lucky to have them perform for us again. We hope you and your family can join us for this very special event.
