The Royal Shakespeare Company in Crook Primary. Amazing!

Published on Thursday 16 July 2015 by Mrs Gentles.

The RSC gave us two absolutely brilliant performances of 'The Famous Victories of Henry V,' in our school. Children and teachers from 9 schools from Crook, Willington, Darlington and Sunderland came to participate in the afternoon performance and we raised the roof when fighting the French at the Battle of Agincourt!

It was also great to see so many children and their families at the evening performance. The audience participation went down very well and we laughed, sang, fought and cheered along with the actors. It really showed how much fun we have learning to do Shakespeare in our school!

The acting company had a wonderful day with us and said they were made very welcome by everyone. They particularly enjoyed their tea which was prepared by our catering staff! Thanks ladies.

Let's hope the RSC return soon with another amazing Shakespeare production.
