KS1 & KS2 Golden Time

This year Golden Time will be in classes to allow an opportunity each week for the class teacher to spend some quality time with their pupils outside of the curriculum.

Golden time is an opportunity each week for pupils to learn and develop a new skill which isn’t within the school curriculum.  It allows pupils time to develop social, communication and life skills.

Golden time is seen as a reward time to celebrate the success of a positive week in school, it is earned over the week through the school behaviour system – Dojos.  Pupils earn Dojos for demonstrating positive learner behaviours in class and around the school, if pupils earn enough the required number of Dojos (10 dojos) over the week they will participate in Golden Time on a Friday afternoon.

Pupils who have not earned the required number of Dojos will spend the final hour with the Deputy Headteacher/Headteacher completing unfinished work from the week and discussing how the can improve their behaviour for the following week in school.

Below is a timetable of activities each year group will be participating in for Golden Time each half term.  Years will advise prior to activities starting if pupils require special clothing bringing in to school.
