The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt - A book review.

Published on Friday 10 March 2017 by Mrs Marsh.

In Year 2 we are currently basing our English on the book called 'The Day the Crayons Quit' by Drew Daywalt. Everyone is enjoying this book and the tasks they have been set linking to the text. Some great work has been produced by the children so far.

We talked about what we thought of the book and tried to give reasons for our opinions.

Taylor - "I enjoyed the green crayon's letter to Duncan because he was happy with his work but he wasn't happy about yellow and orange fighting".

Bradley - "I thought the pictures of the crayons were funny, especially the purple crayon".

Charlie - "I liked that the book was full of letters".

Jack - "I liked it where green was worried for his friends but he was also very proud of his work".

Symone - "I enjoyed that there were lots of different characters instead of just one main one".

Year 2 gave this book a huge 5 out of 5 stars!
