On Wednesday award winning children's author Niel Bushnell spent the day in school working with the children in KS2. He delivered an assesmbly to all KS2 classes where he talked about how he became an author, the kind of work that he does, what inspires him and how he gets the ideas for his writing. Niel then very kindly spent his lunchtime in the library where children took the opportunity to sit and chat with his and ask any questions that they had. The children in Year 5 and 6 then each had an hour long workshop with Niel where he demonstrated how to turn fantastic ideas into fantastic writing.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the day.
