- About Us
We hope you all had a lovely Christmas break and a happy new year! The children have come back to nursery very settled and eager to learn! We have been getting back into the swing of nursery routines this week and have had lots of fun outside in the nursery garden building boats to find the giant caves and putting on brilliant puppet shows.
Our new starters have done so well on their first week at nursery. There have been a few tears, but we are sure that their confidence will grow each day. Well done everybody! We would also like to thank all of the nursery children for being such kind friends and looking after our new starters!
Our little rays of sunshine this week are Sammy Cummins for his enthusiasm and eagerness to learn our jolly phonics sounds. I am very proud of you for recognising our sounds: s, a and t. Keep up the brilliant work Sammy! Sophie Umpleby for her brilliant independent name recognition "look Mrs Dodds I found my name!" Sophie is also almost there with writing her name too, great job! Cameron Evans. Cameron for returning to nursery after the holidays with a positive attitude and no tears! I am particularly impressed with how your cutting and writing skills have improved brilliantly. Well done! Robbie Clarey, Archie Spencer, Ivy Hendry and Zac Cooper for settling so well into your new key worker group this week. I am so proud of them all. Thank you also to the rest of my group for being so kind and friendly to our new children. And finally Kaden Bestford for being a very kind friend this week. When one of his friends hurt themselves he comforted them, even getting a tissue to dry their eyes. What a lovely friend you are Kaden!
