Robin Hood!

Published on Thursday 8 February 2018 by Miss Fox.

We had lots of fun watching the Robin Hood pantomime at the primary school. The children were very brave watching the show, even when it was a little bit noisy. Thank you to all of the parents that were able to make it, we hope you enjoyed it too!

The children are beginning to notice sounds all around the nursery and were great sound detectives. They were able to find lots of our 's and a' sounds. Therefore we have introduced jolly phonics. Some of us went fishing for sounds and have been practising writing these sounds in the salt to enhance our fine motor skills. We have also been sorting a variety of objects according to their initial sounds, when playing silly soup. What brilliant work everybody!

Our little rays of sunshine this week are Sam Moss for doing some fantastic sound work. Sam is able to name and recognise the sounds s and a. He was also able to confidently sort some objects according to their initial sound. Brilliant work Sam! Tom Dobson for his brilliant work in PE. Tom had great aim when rolling his ball to his partner and was able to keep his legs nice and wide to help him catch the ball. Great work Tom! Teddy Buston for working so hard at all of our activities. He was a super star at playing our shopping list game and knew exactly what he needed to find to win the game. Fantastic concentration Teddy! Harry Maskell for his effort when writing his name. He is doing a super job! And finally Cameron Evans for being able to sort the animals depending on where they live and he was able to recall some excellent facts about Arctic animals. Great job Cameron, keep up the super work!

We hope you have a very relaxing spring half term and we look forward to seeing you all when we return on Monday 19th February.
