Miss Golightly's fabulous class have been chosen to take part in our Regional Shakespeare Festival which will be held at King James 1 Academy on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th March 2018. Our children will be performing their scenes on the Tuesday at 1pm.

The festival is led by Crook Primary School, and a further ten schools will be joining us to perform William Shakespeare's tragedy, 'Macbeth.' All the teachers have been trained by The Royal Shakespeare Company in preparation for this annual event.

The children are working hard in rehearsals, exploring characters, plot lines and enjoying Shakespeare's wonderful language. Their performance requires precision timing and using stage space to its maximum effect, both very difficult skills to master, but they are giving 100% effort and concentration. Well done 5G.

Parents will be allocated two tickets per child free of charge and we hope you can join us for this fabulous celebration of Shakespeare.

Julius Caesar

Some of Miss Golightly's and Miss Oxley's children have been chosen to meet with the actors and rehearse with them so they can contribute to the performances of Julius Caesar on Wednesday 28th February. We can't wait to see what they come up with and we know they'll represent Year 5 and our school really well. Bravo Year 5!
