On the Farm

Welcome back everybody! This week we have started our new topic; On the Farm. Before we started our topic we asked the children what they already know about the farm and they shared lots of interesting facts. Odin told me farmers “make fur into woolly hats off sheep” and Bobby told me “The farmer keeps his animals safe”

We have had lots of fun learning about the role of a farmer in our new role play corner. The children have been picking the vegetables, cleaning the stables and collecting the hen's eggs to take to the farm shop. We have also talked about where different animals live and sorted which live on the farm and which live in Africa.

Our little rays of sunshine this week are Ella-Rae Gustard as she was excellent at our rhyming activity this week. She was also able to tell me rhyming words and continue a rhyming string. A big well done Ella! Harrison Binyon for his brilliant knowledge of farm animals. He also made a great prediction about a story we were reading. Keep up the good work Harrison! Ruby Buckle for doing a great job with our oral blending game. Great work Ruby! Mia Palin has been chosen as one of our little rays of sunshine this week as her confidence is growing each week. It is lovely to see her talking to adults in the nursery when playing. Keep up the amazing work Mia! And finally Annabelle Gilchrist as she always tries her best at every activity that she carries out. Well done Annabelle!
