The Tiny Seed…

This week we read “The Tiny Seed” and talked about where seeds come from and what they need to grow. We then planted our own tiny seeds and gave them soil, sun and water. We are excited to watch our cress heads so we will have curly green hair!

As the summer weather has hit us, we have had lots of fun in the sun! The children have loved cooling down in the paddling pool and relaxing with their snack in the shade.

Our little rays of sunshine this week are Mia Gibson for her fantastic initial sound work. We played a sound game and even when I tried to trick Mia, she chose the correct sound each time. Well done Mia! Sophie Wilson as her confidence is flourishing each day! It is lovely to hear her talking more confidently to adults and seeking out other children to play with. Keep up the great work Sophie! Logan Hall for doing a brilliant job rolling the dice, recognising the number and deducting the correct amount of seeds from the apple. Logan enjoyed this activity and even asked to do it again. Great work! Teddy Buston for his amazing sound work today. He remembered all of the sounds we have learnt so far and was able to match the initial sound to the corresponding pictures! And finally Harrison Binyon for his enthusiasm and love of learning. He keeps telling me “I'm a clever clogs” and I have to agree! He shared some super facts about seeds and what they need to grow!
