Bonfire Night

Published on Friday 9 November 2018 by Mrs Fox.

To celebrate Bonfire night we had our very own bonfire in the nursery garden. We each got a turn to toast marshmallows and enjoyed some hot chocolate to keep us nice and warm.

Some of us also had a special visit from the local firefighters who talked to us about fire safety. We learnt to stop, drop and roll and talked about how to stay safe on Bonfire night. The best part was spraying the fireman's hose and sitting in the fire engine!

Our little rays of sunshine this week are Archie Spencer for enjoying our visit from the fire fighters. He was confident and eager to ask questions such as “How do you get into the back of the fire engine?” He enjoyed sitting inside the fire engine and squirting the hose! Scarlett Charles for using some amazing vocabulary to tell me “there were dew drops on the cobwebs” She was able to tell me dewdrops are “little puddles” What amazing knowledge Scarlett! JJ Denham for trying so hard to form his j. He told me “down dot on top” Fantastic writing JJ! And finally Rowan Freeman for his brilliant number work. He chose a number card and understood the number identified how many marshmallows he needed. Keep up the hard work Rowan!
