- About Us
This week we have focused on another traditional story; The Three Little Pigs. The children are starting to be aware of the way stories are structured and were great and sequencing the story using props to help them. It is lovely to hear everybody joining in with the repeated phrases with such enthusiasm!
After reading the story we decided to carry out an experiment to see which houses the big bad wolf could blow down. We also tested some objects that we found in nursery and predicted which would blow away. The children were great at understanding that the heavy things wouldn't blow away but the light things would blow away.
Our little rays of sunshine this week are Lachlan O'Connor for growing more confident in nursery. When carrying out our experiment during group time Lachlan put up his hand and answered lots of questions. You loved using the wolf to blow things away! Evie Goundry for telling me how the three little pig's story started and ended. She then used the props to re-tell the story. Well done Evie! Amelia Davies for sequencing the story, the three little pigs. She even remembered the repeated phrases from the story. Great work Amelia! And finally Hallie Ashurst for being a superstar when practising our Christmas songs. Every day she gives it her best shot and she knows all of the words and actions to each song. Her beaming smile brightens up my day. Keep singing Hallie!
