Shakespeare 2015

Published on Friday 19 December 2014 by Mrs Gentles.

Teachers from ten local schools, led by Crook Primary School, met this term for another exciting training day by The Royal Shakespeare Company to plan and prepare our new Shakespeare Project for 2015. We were inspired by the quality training provided by one of their lead practitioners and directors, Fiona Ross. We will have the added honour of doing the inaugural performance at the new theatre being currently built at King James 1 Academy in Bishop Auckland. The building is on schedule to be completed in January and it's great to know that our children will be the first to perform there in it's wonderful state-of-the-art facilities.

We are especially proud of 5B, Miss Berry's class as they have been chosen by Mrs Gentles to take part in the Royal Shakespeare Project due to their talent and hard work this term. Well done Year 5!

The teachers are looking forward to another training day provided by The Royal Shakespeare Company in January when our plans will be put into action. Watch this space for updates.
