Spring has sprung!

Published on Thursday 2 May 2019 by Mrs Fox.

This week we have begun our new topic; spring! We talked about what we already know about spring and the children made some brilliant comments. Scarlett said “rabbits come out to play” Jude said “my saw flowers in my garden” and Mya said “the leaves come back on”

Spring has sprung! Spring has sprung!

To learn more about spring time we went on a spring walk in the nursery garden and had lots of fun looking for signs of spring. We noticed the flowers were starting to grow, blossom was falling from the trees, we saw lots of butterflies and we even found tadpoles in the pond.

Spring has sprung! Spring has sprung!

Our little rays of sunshine this week are Leona Watret for impressing me with her amazing drawing skills. She made a mark for each member of her family and was able to tell me who she had drawn. Super work Leona! Joshua Bowes for doing an amazing job in his first PE session at the primary school. He joined in with all of our activities and is so confident each day when he arrives at nursery. What a great start to Nursery Josh! Olivia Ryan for settling so well into Nursery routines. Olivia is so confident and always arrives at nursery with a big smile on her face. What a great start to Nursery, I am very proud of you Olivia! Evelyn Goundry for making a beautiful spring picture. She was able to tell me that in spring “the flowers come up from the ground”. Super work Evie! And finally Hallie-Marie Ashurst for thoroughly enjoying looking for signs of spring in our nursery garden. She was very observant pointing out lots of things which we see at spring time. Well done Hallie!

Spring has sprung!

We hope you enjoy the long bank holiday weekend and we will see you next week on Tuesday 7th of May. Class photos will be taken on Tuesday, so please can all children attend nursery in their school uniforms. All children will be taken over to the primary school in their key worker groups.
