A day back in history

On Wednesday, Year 4 took a trip to Durham Cathedral for a two part trip; one half day of Anglo Saxons and another of fieldwork. We looked around the many features of the cathedral, seeing a range of artifacts and stained glass windows as well as the fantastic stonework of the building.

A day back in history

We also used compasses to identify the direction of north and followed our compass directions along the river. We located landmarks and interesting places of the surrounding area and used grid references to record them.
