Under the Sea!

This week we have begun our new topic; Under the Sea! We have been learning about lots of different sea creatures and learnt some very interesting facts about them. We also talked about where different animals live and sorted them according to whether they lived on land or in the sea.

Under the Sea! Under the Sea!

We had so much fun boarding our boat and fishing for sounds. The children were able to name the sounds they found and some of us even found an object with the same initial sound. We also went fishing for shapes, numbers and did lots of counting with our fish.

Under the Sea! Under the Sea!

Our little rays of sunshine this week are Jak Beasley for doing such a great job in maths. He counted the fish in the bowls and tried very hard to represent his answer using marks on the paper. Well done Jak! Lennon Dent for showing so much care towards our butterflies. He watched them fluttering around before going outside to find them some flowers. How kind Lennon! Archie Spencer for not letting his broken arm hinder him in any way. He has joined in with all of our activities and never complained once. Archie is always so keen to help everyone and always does so with a smile on his face. Well done Archie! Skye Johnson for doing a great job during our group time activity. She had brilliant sitting and focused throughout the whole of our activity. She was then able to independently sort the animals according to whether they lived on land or in the sea. I am very proud of you Skye! And finally Ashton Allerton for doing some fantastic shape work. He was able to fish for a given shape and was able to use the correct 2D name for most of the shapes he found. Amazing work Ashton!
