- About Us
To finish our people that help us topic, we had two final visits from the vets and fire fighters. The local vets came to talk to us about the different ways that they help our pets. We had lots of fun helping the animals by checking their temperature, bandaging them up, giving them medicine and listening to their heartbeat. We were also lucky enough to have a visit from the fire fighters. We learnt how to perform the stop, drop and roll technique if our clothes catch fire, but the best part was squirting the hose and seeing the flashing lights on the fire engine.
This week we also got the chance to visit the library and choose one new book to bring back to nursery. Due to the snowy weather the morning children did not get to do this, however we will arrange another visit when we return to nursery. We hope you all have a lovely half term! We will see you when we return on Monday 24th February!
Our little rays of sunshine this week are Olivia Ryan for doing some fantastic number work. She was able to represent the number three in lots of different ways, but she blew my socks off when she represented it through pictures. She told me she had drawn “mammy, daddy, me” Great work Olivia! Skye Johnson for showing such a keen interest when the vets visited us. She was eager to volunteer to help the animals by checking their temperature, bandaging them up and giving them medicine. You were a great vet Skye! Rori Rowell for settling into nursery routines and starting to understand the rules and boundaries of nursery. Well done Rori! Leona Watrett for being so eager to have a go when helping the vets make the animals better. She told me “vets make pets better” Well done Leona! And finally Alfie Hird showing such enthusiasm when learning our sounds. He is a superstar at giving words to match initial sounds “a is for Alfie, p is for Pirate” Well done Alfie, keep up the great work!
