- About Us
As part of our science topic looking at habitats, Year 2 recently spent the day at Broom House Farm. We had a fantastic day observing a working farm, looking at habitats and also signs of Spring. In the afternoon, we got to spend time on the outdoor adventure trail and had lots of fun!
Our parents evening are on the 24th and 25th March after school and on the morning of 26th March. Please make an appointment at the office to see your class teacher.
On Monday the 9th March we will be visiting the local fire station to observe how the fire service has changed from 1666 to present day. Please ensure your child has appropriate shoes and a waterproof coat as we will be walking over. We will be leaving at 1pm and will be back for home time.
Yesterday we had a visit from Durham University to introduce us to our new topic 'The Great Fire of London', we had a look at some of the equipment used to put out the fire, used maps to see how far the fire spread and tried using a quill to write down what we would save.
