Planting Seeds!

Published on Thursday 19 March 2020 by Crook Primary.

This week in nursery we have been farmers and planted our own seeds. We discussed growth and how our seeds will change over time as they grow. The children were very confident when telling us what the seeds would need such as “sun, water and soil” We hope you enjoy watching them grow at home and may even be adventurous enough to taste your cress!

Our little rays of sunshine this week are Kelsey Stewart for having a great time at the number table. She looked at the number then showed me the corresponding fingers. She then represented this on paper drawing the right number of lines. Awesome work Kelsey! Rosi Rowell for independently writing our new sound “m” She came running over and told me “Maisie Mountain Mountain” Awesome work Rosi! Freddie Sproat for doing some amazing counting. He told me “7 flowers, I need 7 seeds” Freddie then found the correct numeral to match. Great counting Freddie! Amelia Bowes for her fantastic knowledge on growth. She was able to independently tell me that her seeds would need “sun, soil and water” to grow. Amazing work Amelia! And finally Ruben-John Stewart for telling me what his seeds would need to grow. He independently told me “soil, sunlight and rain” Great work Ruben!
