We cannot believe how well all of the children have settled into their new classes. It has been fantastic to see so many happy, smiley faces entering reception each morning. Well done to each and every one of you, you have really blown us away!

This week we have been exploring the reception unit, introducing the rules and routines and getting to know our new friends. We have enjoyed circle times when talking about how to wash our hands correctly, what we would like to learn at school and sharing facts about ourselves so our friends can get to know us a little better.

We would just like to thank you all for being so patient and understanding as we learn your faces at home time. Thank you for lining up so sensibly and for following the social distancing rules, we hope to see this continue when you collect your children on the yard next week. This year will unfortunately be a year like no other and we have had to make changes to ensure we are following Government guidance to keep ourselves, parents and the children safe. Therefore, we are unable to chat like we would have done at the gate at home time and parents are unable to enter the buildings.
