Autumn Celebrations

Published on Friday 19 November 2021 by Miss Roberts.

We have had a very busy week in Reception. We have been continuing our Celebrations topic by learning all about Autumn. This week's focus has been on some new vocabulary. We have learned the words: season, autumn, breezy, hunting, hibernating, change, colourful and rustling. The children were fantastic at learning and using these new words and it was wonderful to see their caring side as we created a den for our hedgehogs to hibernate in.

As we know, today has been a very special day. The children have learned about the importance of 'Children in Need'. We have learned how we can show kindness to others just like Pudsey does. Following our learning, we celebrated today by dressing up and having our very own dance-a-then. This was great training for next week as we will be created our very own autumnal dance so stay tuned...
