This Friday, Year 6 gathered at the cenotaph in Crook Town to remember those who have lost their lives while fighting for our country. The children recited a special poem, 'In Flanders Fields' by John McCrae, a WWI Lieutenant.
Thank you to all of the parents and members of our school community who joined us in our Remembrance Day Ceremony.
Our focus in Religious Education this week has been to explore the beliefs and practices of Judaism. The children have discovered the significance of the features of the Jewish synagogue, and the importance of the Torah.
They have also identified what happens during Shabbat, the Jewish day of rest, and the festival of Passover. These photos show how the children used drama skills to represent the key events in the story of Moses.
