Year 5 have had a busy month. The children have been exploring soups from around the world so that they can design and create their own. The challenge that was posed was that they had to create a soup with the smallest impact on the environment. Children identified that using local seasonal produce would be the best as they would not have to transport ingredients from across the world, resulting in more green house gasses (SDG13) and that it would lead to more employment in the local area (SDG8).
