Pupil of the Month

Today we announced our pupils of the month for May 2024.

Pupil of the Month

RA - Jack Newby
The Pupil of the Month in our class is.. Jack Newby. He has really impressed us this month with his can-do attitude. He has been exuding emerald and sapphire power as he has shown resilience and a real determination to give everything a go. It has been absolutely delightful to see Jack shine as he is also keen to complete work independently.
Jack is also finding the things that give him joy around the unit. He has started exploring the creative arts area, showcasing an ability to create something special - and Jack really does find the magic in the smallest of things. It has been incredible to see his confidence shine through when talking in front of the class as he has been telling us about his amazing efforts at completing 25 Park Run's. Well done, Jack!

RW - Freddie Cowan
Freddie has contagious positivity and I want us to celebrate this with awarding him pupil of the month for May 2024. Freddie approaches everything in his school life with a smile and a great attitude and because of this the other children love to be around Freddie. He has great ideas and this spills over into his making where he will create some brilliant props to support his role-play. Freddie also has a fabulous sense of humour and this brightens up the day for his friends and teachers.

1L - Carter Howe
Congratulations to Carter for being 1L’s Pupil of the Month. Carter works incredibly hard to achieve all that he does at school. His determination and resilience have grown in abundance since he started Year 1 and I couldn’t be prouder of the young man that he is becoming. Carter is kind and thoughtful and an absolute pleasure to see each day. He enjoys learning to read and pushes himself when faced with challenges. Well done Carter, keep up the amazing work!

He is a little ray of sunshine, exuding positivity and being a great friend to all. Hunter’s effort during lessons never falters. Theo strives everyday to complete his work to the best of his ability - even when he finds tasks a struggle, he perseveres and keeps going! Theo has recently made huge leaps in his reading and writing attainment and is beginning to sound out words to read and spell - well done Theo! He is a mathematical superstar and his number fluency is improving each day too. Well done Theo, keep working as hard as you always do!

2B - Louciena Coleman
Loucienca is such a shining example of a star pupil and has worked hard to earn this award. She has been a contender for the last few months and this month is her time! Louciena is such a hard-worker and absolutely keeps me sane in class at times! No matter what the topic, her hand is up in the air as she is eager to respond to questions. She is not afraid to have a go and get something wrong, she picks herself straight back up and tries to correct herself. She has such a fabulous personality and is a great peer to others in class. What a star!

3S - Jiaxin Yang
Pupil of the month in 3S has simply got to be Jiaxin! She shines with emerald power every day, and her hand is always first up to offer valuable contributions to my lessons. Jiaxin is also very good at using her sapphire power to avoid those monster distractions, meaning she has been able to focus really well and produce some very high quality work across the curriculum. I have been really impressed by how much Jiaxin's reading skills have improved this month as well. Keep up the good work Jiaxin!

3F - Freddie Sproat
Freddie is 3F's Pupil of the Month as he has a fantastic attitude to his learning. The progress Freddie has made since the start of the academic year is phenomenal, particularly with his reading and handwriting. Freddie strives to improve his work each and every day and approaches every task with 100% effort. He is also a reliable, confident and helpful member of the class and shows fantastic focus and attention during all lessons. Keep up the great work Freddie, I am very proud of you!

4G - Amelia Davies
My Pupil of the Month this month is awarded to Amelia. I am so proud of the progress Amelia has made throughout Year 4. This month in particular, I can see how much she has grown since September. She is so independent in her learning, and she is making huge progress in maths. She will always contribute with answers in maths lessons. As well as this, she is taking on advice in writing lessons and putting the effort in to improve her writing style and the features that she uses in her writing. Amelia needs to continue all of the effort she has put into her learning this year so far and she will make great progress by the end of the year. Well done Amelia!

4L - Ana-Lucia Norman
Ana-Lucia has made so much progress this month, she is a changed person! Her diamond power has shot up like a rocket and she is becoming so much more independent. She is getting on much better with her friends and really using her ruby power to show how kind she is. It has been lovely to see such a change in her and I hope it continues for the remainder of year 4! Well done Ana!

5M - Jenson Robson-Kelly
Jenson thoroughly deserves to be POM. He is really kind and considerate to his peers and adults - nothing is too much trouble. Jenson just gets on with what has been asked without any fuss or distraction proving that he is mature, independent and ready for Year 6. Jenson is always willing to give things a go, even if he doesn't necessarily find them easy, which demonstrates that he has an abundance of resilience and perseverance. His confidence is improving where he now feels comfortable to put his hand up and ask and answer questions, sharing his thoughts and ideas with the rest of the class. Keep up the good work Jenson. Well done!

5B - Mia Gibson
Mia always comes into school with a huge smile on her face, ready for the day ahead. She is always on hand to help others around her, showing off her Ruby power. Mia also sparkles with Diamond power, as she is always making links between her learning and using resources available to her around the classroom to help her learn. Never one to give up, Mia always gives things a go and never shies away from a challenge. Keep it up, Mia!

6O - Emily Grady
Emily has achieved and believed this month, from her SATs exams to her wonderful work with spreadsheets and art. Showing sheer determination to succeed, Emily asked for further work to take home to revise her skills in maths. I was very impressed by her work ethic and amazing attitude to her learning. Emily has also shown a fabulously creative side in our sculpture lessons; I can't wait to see what she produces as her end result. Well done for your hard work this month Emily.

6T - Grace Tate
6T's pupil of the month is Grace Tate. She is an absolute delight to teach as she sparkles with all of the gems. She demonstrates an excellent attitude towards her learning as she is very focused, shows lots of resilience and has increased her independence when solving problems. This is such a well deserved award as every day Grace is very helpful and is a shining example of someone who is kind, polite and conscientious. You are a joy to have in class, Grace, and you should be very proud of yourself!
