We have had a totally Cosmic start to Year 5 with our new English text of Cosmic by Frank Cottrell Boyce. The children have enjoyed discovering Liam's misdemeanors as a result of looking taller and older than his actual age, particularly liking the scene in which he tried to drive a Porsche. We have been busy building up our skills of direct speech ready for writing our own story of a cringeworthy situation Liam finds himself in!

In Art, we have been looking at the German Bauhaus art movement and creating our own Bauhaus inspired pieces of art, using primary colours and lots of simplistic shapes. Some fabulous creations have been made using our printing, carving and etching skills.
