Our topic has taken us up into the clouds and into a world of magic, castles and giants. The children have loved delving into the traditional tale of Jack and the Beanstalk. They have listened to different versions of the story and enjoyed acting it out with friends and props. At the end of the week the children will also be planting their very one bean!

We have also introduced 'Make Believe Arts' this week where the children sit on the special story chair and become storytellers themselves. The adults have been collecting the children's own imaginative stories which are then acted out together on a 'stage'. We will be continuing this over the coming weeks.

It is assessment week in reception and the children have been revising in phonics and maths and have been working individually with their teacher. The children should be very proud of themselves for all their hard work!
