In our new History unit, our historical enquiry question is 'What is the significance of castles in North East England?'. We have enjoyed learning about three local castles to us (Auckland, Durham and Raby) as well as sharing our experiences of visiting some of these castles with our families. We were surprised to learn that people can still live within Durham castle today if they are students of Durham University!
