For the last 2 weeks, year 1 and 2 have been learning all about plants. We have looked at a variety of different plants and labelled roots, the stem, leaves, flower and the anther.

We have also conducted an ongoing scientific experiment to test which conditions are the best for growing plants. We have planted broad bean seeds in 3 different conditions. Seed 1 has been planted with access to water and sunlight. Seed 2 has water but no sunlight and seed 3 has sunlight but no water. Which seed do you think will grow the best?

Finally, we grew our own cress and as some of you have already seen, it was a success!
