This last week we have had our historian hats on, as we have been looking way back in the past to prehistory, a time before writing! We have been studying the Stone Age, Bronze Age and the Iron Age - periods far, far back on our timelines. If you didn't know, we an tell you why these periods in time were given those names, how they lived and about their tools. In fact, we can even tell you how to say some of these things in Spanish! We mapped the chronology of these ages on a class timeline, paying close attention to the length of time each period lasted and the important events that happened during them.
In maths, we have started learning about mass and have practiced measuring the weight of items using scales. Our units of measurement that we have been using are grams and kilograms. A spot of spring baking at home would be a great way for us to secure our understanding!
We are going to have a busy couple of weeks coming up with assessment week next week and several house team challenges in the final week of term! The girls are going to Parkside to play football soon, while the last week term will see the annual Easter Egg competition and also our reward day. Mrs Lupton will be leaving us at the end of the term, so we will celebrate with a whole school picnic in the penultimate week, we hope to see you all there!
