This year in Reception - oh, what a ride!

With curious children right there by our side.

We've laughed, we've explored, we've learned through our play,

And grown a bit taller with each passing day.

From forest garden fun to digging for bugs,

To splashing in puddles and giving out hugs.

Cheeky, inquisitive, bursting with cheer,

Every single child has shone brightly this year.

With Mrs Wessels, Mrs Turner, a wonderful team,

Mes Symington and Miss Hall - a dream!

Together we've counted, we've learned all our sounds,

With phonics and numbers and learning all round.

We've learned 'All About Me' - what makes us unique,

And discovered how kind and how brave we can be.

We've stood still for silence on Remembrance Day,

And watched Binfire Night's sparkles light up the way.

At Christmas, you sang with hearts full of cheer,

And we journeyed to Africa - what a great year!

We visited China with lanterns held high,

And soared into space - past the stars in the sky!

We met mini beasts, and sea creatures too,

And read tales of old - the traditional few.

We've been to Hall Hill Farm, and the fire station,

The library called us for new exploration.

We danced in the sprinklers when sunshine was here,

We trudged through the snow - winter's chill brought us cheer.

At Crook Primary, you've blossomed, believed and achieved,

You've grown every day - more than you'd ever believe!

And now, to our parents - a heartfelt “Thank you!”

For everything constant you've lovingly done too.

For coming to assemblies, and each stay and play,

For kind words, support, and your encouraging ways.

Your smiles, your patience, your unwavering care,

Have made such a difference - we're grateful you're there.

With joyful children and memories made,

What a journey we've shared, the foundations are laid.

Good luck in Year 1 everybody. We can't wait to see all that you achieve. We will always be there to cheer you on! Your biggest supporters, from day one.
