School Closure Information

As a result of the guidance issued by Central Government the school is closed for most children. This page has information about the provision for children of key workers and those who are most vulnerable. There is also information about free schools meals. We will continue to review this information and update it as necessary.

Further information about school closures can be found at

Following our Headteacher meeting and advice from the Local Authority, we are open for for the following children only:

Children where both parents are key workers and have no alternative provision.

These are:

  • Delivery drivers of essential services e.g. food and medical supplies
  • Front line NHS staff who work in hospitals
  • Teachers/Child care
  • Care home workers
  • Social workers
  • Police officers, Community support, Civilian staff
  • Prison or other probation staff
  • Firefighters
  • Front line staff of Taylor Shaw who provide meals to schools

This also applies to single parents who are key workers of the above categories where the child only lives with one parent and has no alternative provision.

School will be open 8.00am - 4.00pm.

Please contact the Headteacher at to confirm that you are one of these groups and your requirement of days as obviously many of these key workers work shifts so will not require every day. The purpose of this facility is to help key workers and to minimise the number of children in school.

At present we do not have details regarding lunch provision therefore on Monday please provide your child with a packed lunch.

If your child currently receives a free school meal and is off school, as of Monday there will be the option to collect a packed lunch for your child from school.

You will be able to collect your child’s packed lunch from the disabled entrance along from the main entrance at the front of the school between 10.45 -11.15am each day.  Packed lunches will be individually named to ensure the correct children receive them and numbers can be monitored. You are able to pick up lunches for other families if requested by the parent.

When collecting lunches please keep a safe distance from other people who are there and follow the NHS guidance to protect yourself and others from the virus.

We will regulary provide work for the children who are off school so they continue to learn while at home. This will be posted to pages which you can get to from the front page of the website or through the links below.
