In English, we have started to look at the Shakespearean play of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. We first looked at William Shakespeare and found out that he is a famous playwright who has written many famous plays. We were fascinated to learn that William actually invented words that we still use today in our everyday speech such as 'bedroom' and 'gloomy'. After many warm up games, we became an ensemble and acted out different characters from the story. Some of us morphed into a donkey, called Bottom, Titania (Queen of the Fairies), Theseus (The Duke) and then a person in love. It was quickly discovered that there are many people in love in this play! Next, we will be describing the setting of the play which is a magical, enchanted forest.
