International Links

At Crook Primary school we have links with schools in many other countries.

Visitors from Africa in 2014

This year promises to be a busy one at Crook Primary in our international links. We are delighted that we are heading up two clusters of UK schools linked with schools in Zimbabwe and Tanzania. At the end of September, we will host 5 visitors from Zimbabwe and 5 from Tanzania in conjunction with other local schools. For the rest of the year we will continue to work on joint projects together. In October Mrs Lupton together with Miss Bryson will lead a group of teachers to Tanzania and in February Miss Lee and Miss Golightly will lead a group of teachers to Zimbabwe.

We also hope to teach some Spanish and to this end, 5 of our teachers will be taking part in a Spanish immersion course to improve their language skills in October half term.

We will also continue our links with Durham University and host students to give taster Chinese lessons.

We will continue to work with our partner school in India and submit our application for re-accreditation for the prestigious International Schools Award in June 2020.
