This weekend, 6 of our KS2 pupils were lucky enough to be invited to be flag-bearers for Sunderland AFC in the final game of the season! We headed to the Stadium of Light and got to go pitch side before the match. Whilst there, we did a practice run of getting into positions and waving our flags and then we had some free time in the Beacon of Light, where there was football training and XBOX games!

When the match was about to start we took our positions in front of a full and roaring crowd and waved our flags with pride! The players ran past us onto the pitch ready for the guard of honour. Once our job was complete and the match was about to start, we headed to our seats which were very comfy. Unfortunately, Sunderland couldn't win the game, but our pupils did CPS proud!
